With more than a decade of experience at PR agencies around the Midwest, Laura has leveraged her expertise in media relations and writing to successfully promote regional and national brands and nonprofits.
She has orchestrated and implemented award-winning media relations programs that have resulted in stories about her clients in top tier media outlets like CNBC, NPR, USA Today, Associated Press, and The New York Times. On the content side, she has worked with clients to develop content for company blogs, bylined articles for trade media outlets, company websites, e-newsletters, white papers, and more to help connect them with their intended audiences. Laura’s primary areas of expertise include communications strategy, media relations, copywriting and editing, and content development and management.
Laura holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., and currently resides in the Chicago suburbs with her wonderful husband, energetic son, and stealth-cuddling cat. In her spare time you can find her walking, hiking, and biking around Chicagoland, sometimes with her DSLR camera in tow; laying in the hammock in her backyard reading a book or magazine; belting out show tunes, much to her son’s chagrin; cooking and baking up a storm in her kitchen; and playing classic board games like Uno and Sorry! with her family.
