Although there is some uncertainty about the future of the platform, for the time being TikTok is showing no signs of slowing down as a powerful social media marketing tool for growing your brand. In fact, according to TikTok’s 2024 Year-End Report, over 170 million Americans are now a part of the TikTok community, meaning there are plenty of people on the platform to share your brand’s story with.
Whether your business is just beginning its TikTok journey or you’ve been a part of the platform for a while, the New Year is a great opportunity to take a look at your TikTok strategy and ensure it aligns with where your organization is heading. Here are three TikTok trends that will help jumpstart your brand’s success on the platform in 2025 and beyond:
#1: Embrace Company Culture
To put it simply, people love people! Showcasing your employees and highlighting their successes is an easy way to personalize your brand. Filming a video to a trending sound relating it to the experience of working in your company or industry is an excellent strategy for creating relatable, entertaining content.
Embracing company culture can even be as simple as filming a few short clips at your holiday party and putting them together to show the world how your team celebrated a year of success. Here’s a great recent example from Scooter Media’s TikTok account:

As most TikTok users can attest to, trending sounds can be a great way to get your content discovered and grow your following. Lean in to trending sounds and consider unique ways that your brand might be able to turn a simple trend into a piece of content that speaks to followers in your industry. Doing so will not only help to highlight your team’s creativity, but could also help to position your company as a thought leader in your field.

#3: Find Relevant Hashtags
Taking a few minutes to research and utilize the right hashtags in the copy of your TikTok can go a long way toward taking your video views and engagements to the next level. (Case in point: as detailed in TikTok’s 2024 Year-End Report, Olympics-related hashtags had 1.9 million posts and nearly 50 billion views in just two weeks of 2024 alone!)
Thankfully, TikTok makes it easy to find trending hashtags related to your topic. Search for keywords related to your content or business and toggle to the “Hashtags” section to see related hashtags and how many posts are included under each. Take care to only use hashtags that have a decent amount of traction to ensure your content is reaching the right audience. Also, consider creating a brand-specific hashtag so that viewers can easily access other content from your brand in a single click.
